Hello, and thank you for visiting oGára Design.
I’m a Japanese graphic designer from Tokyo,
now based in South London after moving to the UK at the age of 34.
My focus is on logo design, typography, and visual branding
— crafting designs that are not only visually engaging but emotionally resonant.
At the core of my practice is a belief that design should be both sincere and enjoyable.
I aim to deliver work that feels approachable, considered, and genuinely valuable.
Every project is approached with curiosity, care, and a playful spirit.
Inspired by nature, music, travel, and human insight,
I strive to let these elements subtly inform my work.
Thank you again for stopping by.
Keiko Ogasawara (oGára design space)
I was born and raised in Tokyo.
At the age of 15, I began attending an art high school.
After graduating, I worked in a studio hand-painting designs on kimono fabrics,
and later in another studio specialising in shibori (Japanese tie-dye).
These early experiences gradually led me towards graphic design.
I went on to gain professional experience at Shigo Yamaguchi Design Studio and
Toshine Ishihama Design Studio before establishing my own practice,
Keiko Ogasawara Design Studio.
In 1994, I relocated to the UK, where I now run oGára design space.
